What is the difference between a smoothie and detox smoothie?

The simple answer is the ingredients. Different ingredients have various cleansing properties. With tons of fiber, magnesium, protein, and antioxidants, it’s hard to go wrong.

Avocado Detox Smoothie

1 apple, cored
2 cups spinach or kale
½ avocado
1 cup distilled water

Avocados are essential in a raw foods diet. They give you healthy fats, folate, magnesium, potassium, and they help to release inflammation.

Try to plan ahead during the weekend and does your green smoothie prep for healthy breakfast on the go for the whole week in 20 minutes or less.

You can experiment and mix and match different ingredient combinations. For the spices and herbs, try the powder form and fresh leaves, roots, and adjust the quantity to taste.

There are two super foods I always like to add to my green smoothies, as they can increase your body’s ability to digest and absorb the nutrients in the smoothie.
