Most of the time we just give more time to our face and even our hands. But forget about our legs. Cracked heels are the reason of ignorance and unhygienic ness. Cracked heels can be easily seen in both men and women. The reason behind the cracked heels is dryness, overexposure to pollution and people suffering from some medical issues.

Today I will be sharing some secret home remedies for cracked heels. All the ingredients used for the treatment of cracked heels can be found in the kitchen easily.

Home Remedies For Cracked Heels

Let’s begin with Soaking the foot

Soak the foot

Soaking the foot is the easiest way to clean the skin of our foot. As the skin of our foot is thick, which cracks when we apply pressure to it. Soaking the foot helps to provide moisture and hydrates then and even clean all the specks of dirt.

Ingredients required to soak the foot

  • Lukewarm water in a big basin
  • 5 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp of salt
  • 2 tbsp of vinegar

What to do

Take a basin with Lukewarm water and add all the ingredients to it. Soak your feet for at least 15–20 minutes. After soaking, its time to remove the feet and scrub it. Always scrub the foot with a pumice stone to remove excess dead skin. Finish it off by applying any kind of moisturizer.

Lukewarm water helps to relax the muscles. Lemon juice contains anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties that help the cracked heels and prevent them from infection. Vinegar helps to soften the dead and dry skin on the feet.

Coconut oil, Vaseline And Vitamin E For Cracked Heels

After soaking the feet and giving it a rub with the pumice stone, its time to do massage. Massage helps in increasing the blood flow to the skin and gives a relaxed feeling. As we know no one gives massage their foot. Because we don’t have time to do so. But in winter we have to find time to do it. Otherwise, suffer from the cracked heel.  Cracked heels are sometimes so painful that you can’t walk properly. If cracked heels are ignored, It may bleed sometimes.

Ingredients required to massage the foot

  • 5 tbsp of coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp of vaseline
  • 1 for each foot a Vitamin E capsule

What to do

Take coconut oil and Vaseline in a bowl and warm it in the microwave for at least 2 minutes. Then add the Vitamin E to the ingredients. Massage it for at least 5-10 minutes.

Banana  Mask

The banana mask really works for Cracked Heels. A banana contains a high amount of Vitamin A ,B6 and other vitamins. It work as a moisturizer and heels the thick skin.

Ingredients required to make the foot mask

  • two ripe bananas
  • 2-3 drops of lemon
  • one Vitamin E capsule

What to do

Take all the ingredients in a blender and blend them properly. Apply the paste on the bottom part of the foot, cover the cracked heels. Leave for at least 10-15 minutes. Then wash it off with warm water. Don’t forget to apply any kind of oil after that to lock the moisture inside the skin.

Honey And Rice Flour

Honey and rice flour both when mixed together acts as the best scrub for the foot massage. The Roughness of rice flour helps to remove the dead skin on the feet. Furthermore honey helps to clean the wounds. As it has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties which help in moisturising and healing the crakced heel.

Ingredients required to massage the foot

  • 2 tbsp of rice flour
  • 5 tbsp of honey

What to do

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Apply the mixture on the cleaned feet. Before scrubbing your feet, soak it for at least 5- 10 minutes in lukewarm water. Don’t be rough to the skin. Massage it for at least 10 minutes and then wash it off with warm water. Don’t forget to apply moisturizer.

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera gel also helps in healing cracked heels. As it has a high amount of collagen which helps in healing the skin fast. It’s the best moisturizer.

Ingredients required

  • Aloe vera gel
  • Rosewater

What to do

Apply the aloevera gel mixed with rose water on the cracked heels. And let the gel get absorbed into the skin. Finally put on your socks and sleep. Do wash your feet in the next morning with warm water.

Do it for at least 4-5 days,you can see amazing results.

Tips

  • Don’t forget to moisturize your feet daily.
  • At least once a week find time for your feet. Soak them in warm water, help them to relax.
  • In winters, try to sleep with socks.
  • During bathing, clean your feet with a pumice stone to remove excess dead skin which leads to crake heels.
  • Olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter or paraffin wax can be applied to the cracked heels for moisturizing the skin.
  • Don’t be harsh on the cracked heel while rubbing in pumice stone. Consult a doctor if is very painful or bleeding. it might be infected.
